Billing
Most of our matters are handled on an hourly basis. Our hourly rates vary, depending upon the attorney's level of experience, from $150.00 to $275.00 per hour. In addition to fees for services, clients are responsible for costs that may be incurred in connection with the representation. These costs may include, for example, charges for long distance telephone calls, photocopies, travel and filing fees.
Invoices for fees and costs are rendered on a monthly basis for time expended and costs incurred during the previous month. An interest charge of one and a half percent (1.5%) per month accrues on any balance outstanding for more than thirty days.
Residential real estate and uncontested adoptions are typically handled on a flat fee basis plus costs.
Personal injury, nursing home, and medical malpractice cases are typically handled on a contingent fee basis, plus costs.
