Mr. Simpson's practice emphasizes trial advocacy in a variety of commercial disputes, including, but not limited to, non-competition agreements, unfair competition claims, trade secret misappropriation, business dissolutions, contracts, insurance, real property, and construction.  In addition, his practice also includes selected family law matters.

He attended Colgate University and received a B.A. in Political Science in 1977, and he received his J.D. degree from the University of Hawaii School of Law in 1981.

Mr. Simpson represents clients before the federal and state courts in Hawaii and Virginia, and is a member of both State Bars as well as the Charlottesville-Albemarle Bar Association.

Examples of past ancillary activities include:  Board Member, Charlottesville Chapter of the American Red Cross, Albemarle Rotary Club, Trustee Olivet Presbyterian Church, and New Church Development Committee, Presbytery of the James.
